Day 01: Arrival in Nairobi

Day 02: Masai Mara Game Reseve
Check out after breakfast.We will hold a safari briefing. Drive through the floor of the Great Riftvalley to the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve is considered a "must see" for any new and repeat visitor traveling on a safari to Kenya. It is on the "to do" list for many Kenyans and visitors alike because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds. Masai Mara National Reserve is situated within the Great Rift Valley in the southern part of Kenya. Measuring approximately 1510sq. kilometres (approx. 938sq. miles) in size, this unfenced savannah grassland is roughly 150 miles southeast of Nairobi.
Maasai Mara derives its name from the indigenous people of Kenya - the Maasai tribe - and the Mara River that cuts through the park. The Masai Mara provides the best view of the famous wildebeest migration as the animals cross the Mara River between July and August. It is also home to the richest concentration of wildlife, including the "Big Five" (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo), population of black rhinos is severely threatened with only 37 black rhinos left as of 2000.
Herds of plains zebras are found throughout the park, as well as Masai giraffes, common giraffes, jackals, white-bearded gnus, Oribis, warthogs, Thomson's and Grant's gazelles, hartebeests, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, rare Topi antelope and beautiful rone antelope, as well as hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Birdlife is as plentiful as wildlife at the Masai Mara, which boasts over 400 different birds species. The park experiences a hot and dry climate with a regular rainfall season twice a year. The reserve's topography is mainly open savannah (grassland) with clusters of acacia trees along the southeastern area of the park. The Mara and Talekrivers grace the rolling plains of the reserve. Myriad seasonal rivers appear during the rainy season but dry out once the rains are gone.

Day 03: Masai Mara Game Reseve
For the adventurous tourist who wants a sky-high view of wildlife from the air hot air balloon rides and safaris are the best way to travel over the massive Masai Mara park. Hot air balloon rides last approximately an hour and takes place at dawn. You will get a great view of the animals while you glide above them. Champagne breakfast is prepared on the balloon burner upon landing.
You have the option to go for a full day game drive after breakfast with picnic lunches or to do morning and afternoon game drives. The driver guide will be flexible
0600 hrs: Rise up early and after a quick hot cup of tea/coffee and pastries at the lounge depart for an early morning game drive around 0630 hrs taking you close to the wildlife rich spots in the Maasai Mara. This gives you an opportunity to view wild animals in their natural habitat as they go about their daily activities. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and spend the rest of the morning enjoying the facilities available at the camp
Lunch at the camp followed by more time to rest before departing for the afternoon game drive until sunset.
You could step back in time and visit a Maasai village where you get a chance to interact with the Maasai people in their traditional setting and experience their culture. Often the Maasaimorans (young Maasai warriors) will perform their traditional dance. Day 04: Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast drive to Lake National park. Enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National enroute to the lodge. Arrive in time for lunch and settle in before departing for the afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species, including huge flocks of flamingoes and many other water birds. It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks. Lake Nakuru is a large, shallow lake surrounded by marshes, woodland and grassland. There are some rocky outcrops and the largest euphorbia forest in Africa on the eastern side. The lake is fed by three main rivers; the Njoro, the Makalia and the Enderit rivers, as well as several springs. The park has very good roads and some excellent viewpoints overlooking the lake from Baboon Cliff and Lion Hill. At times, there can be up to two million greater and lesser flamingoes and tens of thousands of other birds. Food conditions change periodically, and the number of birds fluctuates at times. Lake Nakuru National Park also offers sanctuary to huge numbers of native African animals including waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos and, occasionally, leopards. A large herd of hippos have a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.

Day 05: Amboseli National Park

Drive to Amboseli National park situated at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. The snow caps white and crystalline form a majestic backdrop to spectacular displays of wildlife. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Here you have an opportunity to explore five different habitats ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Day 06: Amboseli National Park
Rise up early and after a quick cup of hot tea/coffee and pastries depart for the early morning game drive around 0630 am.

Lunch at the lodge followed by more time to rest before we depart for an afternoon game drive until sunset. You will have an opportunity to visit the local Masai villages where you get a chance to interact with the local people in their traditional setting and experience their culture. This is a good opportunity to purchase traditional souvenirs, art and collectibles.

Day 07: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Breakfast at the lodge and check out.Enjoya game drive as you exit the park. Drive to Namanga border where you will clear with customs and immigration procedures and proceed to Arusha in Tanzania vehicle. On arrival in Arusha we will have lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Ngorongoro Sopa located at the highest point on the rim ofNgorongoro crater; the largest intact caldera in the world.The views of across this enormous caldera arealways magnificent. Day 08: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Depart and descend into the crater floor through a lush highland forest, with magnificent birdlife to be spotted among the different tree speciesis dotted with watering holes and shelters almost 30,000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the walls of the volcano. Enjoy a game drive on the crater phone. This is only park where the black rhino could be spotted. There is a variety of grazing herbivores, as well as the predators that are attracted by this abundant supply of prey. Other animals that can be seen here are elephants, lion, leopard and hyena, herds of wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, serval cat, cheetah, jackal, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, flamingo and bat-eared foxes, as well as approximately 400 species of birds

Day 09: Serengeti National Park
Today we have an early start. After breakfast we check out. Drive to Serengeti National park make a stop at Olduvai gorgeholding the earliest evidence of the existence of human ancestors. Paleoanthropologists have found hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools in the area dating back millions of years, leading them to conclude that humans evolved in Africa. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and settle in before departing for an afternoon game drive until sunset. Serengeti is famed for its annual wildebeest migration, when some 8 million hooves cross the open plains, as more than 1,500,000 wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the trek for fresh grazing. Predators follow the migration and sightings of big cats hunting is particularly exciting. The Serengeti offers amazing wildlife viewing throughout the year. June and July are the best months for seeing the migration and a possible crossing of the Grumeti River. February is the best month for the wildebeest calving. The dry months from June to October offer the best general wildlife viewing.

Today we have the flexibility to do a morning and afternoon game drives or a full day game drive(discuss with you your driver guide and agree)

This gives you an opportunity to view wild animals in their natural habitat as they go about their daily activities. Day 11: Lake Manyara National Park
Check out after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara Serena effortlessly blending traditional style and modern comfort. Check in at the lodge followed by a sumptuous lunch before departing for an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park well known for the tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake that attracts thousands and pink flamingos, one of Tanzania’s biggest elephant population and breathtaking scenery. Day 12: Nairobi
After breakfast check out. Drive to Arusha with picnic lunch boxes. On arrival at Namanga border clear with customs and immigration procedures and continue to Nairobi in Kenyan vehicles. Arrive and the hotel and check in. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner is on own account today. Overnight at Eka hotel (L-BB)
Day 13: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Enjoy day room use until 1800 hrs. Pick up and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for out bound flight
