Our 09 days Kenya Highlight safari features Nairobi where you will have a full day to visit the main attractions such as Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage offering a wonderful opportunity to see baby elephants, and sometimes baby rhinos, which have been orphaned by poachers, or have been lost or abandoned. A visit to Karen Blixen Museum once owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke featured in the movie ‘Out of Africa’. Also a visit to Giraffe Centre where you will have an opportunity to feed the endangered Rothschild giraffes from an elevated platform. We continue to Samburu Game Reserve home to the rare Northern species. Grevy's zebra, the Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk and the beisa oryx. Aberdare national Park, here you will observe wildlife coming to watering holes or salt licks in the forest habitat. Lake Nakuru National park is home to Lake Nakuru one of the Rift valley soda lakes. This park is famous for Black and White rhinos and a variety of bird species. Our highlight will be Masai Mara when you can witness the 8th wonder of the world the wildebeest migration between July-October. Here the wildlife roam freely and in abundance. Day 01: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will be met outside the baggage hall by Leylani Holidays representative and assisted with your luggage. Transfer to your city hotel for check in. Dinner is on own account today. Overnight at Tamarind Tree or Eka Hotel (BB)
Day 02: Nairobi/Amboseli National Park
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then check out. We will hold a safari briefing
Drive to Amboseli National park situated at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. The snow caps white and crystalline form a majestic backdrop to spectacular displays of wildlife. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Here you have an opportunity to explore five different habitats ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.
